I was a very lazy girl and henndigoed my hair without a base of henna. I had about an inch of gray growing out...gray at the roots and orange at the ends. I usually henna my hair overall when I have that much gray showing, and then henndigo either the same day or sometime in the next week. I heard from people here that you need a base of henna on the hair for the indigo to stick to, but I never really had proof.
Well this week I realized that this is VERY true. A week after henndigoing my hair, my gray roots are white again; they never got just henna on them so as the indigo faded those grays had NO color on them.
So I recommend to everyone, henna your hair first to get all those grays good and red, and then when you do henna+indigo or just indigo it will stick on there a lot better and longer. Now, I have to henna my hair all over again so my laziness was for naught! _________________ KENZI
