Hey folksies!
Just had to share a really neat little story for you.
As a lot of you know, I work with wildlife and have been trying over the past couple of years to break into documentary and telivision work. I have been working on a few small-scale projects in the past six months which has started to attract a little attention. I was asked recently to be a guest in a travel show (which is screened nationally across Australia) and take their host out to see some kangaroos in one of our national parks out here.
Luckily this particular park is about an hour's drive outside of the city centre and so I had quite a lot of time along with the crew to blabble on about wildlife and I why I am so enthusiastic about environmental films.
The host of the show (who runs the entire production company) kept mentioning my hair and how amazing red hair is. He probably mentioned my hair about eight times and I didn't have the heart to tell him that it is all thanks to henna because in my experience, telling a man you're not a natural redhead is like telling a woman you bought her engagement ring at Claires. Anyway, it was all meant to be just a one off thing where I showed them the roos and did a little interview for them but a couple of days later I received an email asking me to consider doing a guest spot as a presenter for their show!!! I'm so excited! Its not all set in concrete yet but it looks like it will happen and I'm really thrilled .. and so happy about being a henna head!!

awesomeness! congrats! just dont change your hair while you have the gig, lol, i did that once, got a job as a blonde, dyed it dark brown a couple months later, about lost my job on the spot, if he coulda he woulda fired me.
