I haven't been on the forum for quite some time, and I've gotten a little bit slack in my henna. ;) Hope everyone on the forum is well!
I have a batch of henna sitting, wrapped up, on top of the fridge. The intent was to henna my hair this afternoon, but one thing led to another and now I don't have time before having to go out! I used to have a lot of useful henna information from this site stored away in my brain, but am having problems remembering it now. :(
I used close-to-boiling water to get the dye to release fairly quickly. Now that I won't be using it right away, will it still be alright to use later on this evening? What if it were left till tomorrow? Would it be ruined by sitting so long? It was around noon, maybe one o'clock this afternoon that I stirred the water in. What do you all think? I would hate to waste any, but don't want to use it if it's not going to work as well...
TIA for any advice! :)

Hair takes up henna dye really well so you don't have to worry so much about dye release like you do with henna for the skin. I think your paste will still have plenty of dyeing power left in it by the evening. _________________ KENZI

| Hurray! Thanks Kenzi. :) I will definitely give it a go when we come back this evening... Hopefully there's enough dying power for the silver hairs! lol |

FYI: I habitually mix my henna the day before I use it ... and I mix with hot liquid. So, I can vouch for it being effective. I like to let it rest with the amla oil in it as it really seems to made the mix more conditioning. _________________ Maya
